HDC Hyundai Engineering Plastics (hereinafter "the company") possesses the following terms and conditions for the use of personal information and complies with the legal regulations for personal information protection such as the 「Act on the Protection of Personal Information」and「Act on the promotion of information and communication network use and protection of information」 in order to protect the personal information of its users. The company posts the terms and conditions so as to inform users of what actions it takes to protect the personal information of users and the methods and purposes of use.

3. Period of possession and handling of personal information

The company gives the notification to users when collecting their personal information, and immediately disposes of the information when the period of possession expires. However, the company retains the information for a certain period in case it is necessary in order to confirm the right and duties of the transaction by Consumer Protection Acts of Commercial Law, Framework Act on National Taxes, and the Act on Electronic Commerce. In such events, the company uses the personal information only for the purpose of the possession. The period of possession and items are as follows.

4. Terms and conditions for disposal of personal information

  • A. Processes of disposal
    The information, collected for supply of services, is immediately disposed of after the goal is accomplished unless it is subject to the reason of extended possession of personal information.
  • B.Methods of disposal
    Printed personal information is disposed of with a paper shredder or incinerated. Electronically stored information is deleted in such a way that it cannot be recovered.

5. Terms and conditions for the supply of personal information to a third party

In principle, the company does not provide third parties with the personal information of users. However, there may be exceptional circumstances in the event of the following cases:

And the company supervises the enterprises and obeys the relevant regulations by defining the essential items so as to protect the personal information when signing the contract for entrustment. If there are any changes in the conditions of entrustment, the company makes the notification under “notice” on the website.

    • The company operates such programs (hereinafter "cookies") including "cookies" and "ActiveX" which automatically collect personal information, and find and save the information of the users.

    • The collection, use, and disposal of personal information are recorded in compliance with the legal standards (Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Use and Information Protection and Act on the Protection of Personal Information). The company established internal regulations relevant to the handling of the personal information and conducts training for the regulations.

7. Terms and conditions for stability guarantee of personal information

The company has the following technical solutions and management system to guarantee the stability in order to prevent the collected personal information from being lost, stolen, modified, or damaged in the process of handling the users’ personal information.

  • A. Technical solutions for protection
    • The company adopts the security system (SSL) which protects the users’ personal information with passwords and enables safe transmission of information on the network with a password security algorithm.
    • The company controls unauthorized access from outside by employing security systems such as IPS and Web Application Firewall in preparation for external intrusion such as hacking, the company fully focuses on ensuring and maintaining the security of personal information by developing technical solutions.

    • The company limits the authorized access to the users’ personal information to the minimum number of people.
    • The PC of the person who handles and manages personal information is set to prevent the personal information from leaking to anyone without authorized access to the information through internet, P2P, or sharing settings.
    • The collection, use and disposal of personal information are recorded in compliance with the legal standards (Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Use and Information Protection and Act on the Protection of Personal Information).
    • The company prevents the leaking of personal information by acquiring the security pledge of all new employees before their first day of work and established internal regulations relevant to the handling of personal information in order to see and monitor if all employees follow and conform to the regulations.

The company does not allow children under 14 years old to join the service; however, the information necessary for the contract is collected after obtaining agreement with the legal guardian at all times.

11.Duty of disclosure according to the policy change

If there are any changes of terms and conditions for the handling of personal information, the company shall announce the changes via the notice of the website (or notice by individual contacts).
