HDC Hyundai EP conducts social contribution activities to improve the educational environment for future generations

- Continuing customized ESG activities that co-exist with local communities

- Donated to Dangjin City Welfare Foundation for disadvantaged neighbors
 

HDC Hyundai EP is carrying out social contribution activities at home and abroad so that children at home and abroad can receive education in a better environment with the aim of creating core values for a healthy and sustainable environment.

HDC Hyundai EP, which has provided scholarships to Seokmun Elementary School and Seokmun Middle School near its headquarters in Dangjin since its foundation in 2000, has formed a sisterhood alliance with Seokmun Elementary School to donate 10 million won worth of piano and guitar instruments to improve the educational environment, while providing a healthy educational environment by sponsoring 12 million won worth of power generation funds to create a natural grass playground so that students can enjoy various sports activities. In addition, on the 27th of this month, in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the opening of Seokmun Elementary School, donations are delivered through the Dangjin Welfare Foundation to support the continued development of the region.

The development of the local community and the practice of social responsibility that provides high-quality educational opportunities extend not only domestically but also abroad. HDC Hyundai EP India Chennai Corporation's activities to improve aging facilities in schools since 21 are social contribution projects that create a pleasant educational environment by remodeling old facilities in schools near the corporation and expanding new classrooms. It was designed with the aim of providing a high-quality educational environment to children with relatively poor educational opportunities and environments.

It invested 50 million won in public elementary and high schools located in the village of Vayalur near the corporation to waterproof buildings, replace old desks and chairs, and build computer rooms and libraries. In addition, in 24, it invested 80 million won in an elementary school located in Panchayat village to help more than 100 students grow in a better educational environment by building waterproofing and painting, expanding smart classrooms, and upgrading air conditioning facilities. In particular, this activity added to the meaning of helping young people grow by carrying out scholarship projects by inheriting the talent-oriented philosophy of HDC Group's late honorary chairman, Pony-jung Jeong Se-young.
